Who we are

Quabbin Community Cares is a community coalition dedicated to unifying support for youth and families in the Quabbin region. By fostering collaboration among community members, we focus on critical areas of public health and safety to ensure the long-term well-being of all residents.

Core Areas of Impact

  • Substance Use Prevention: Implementing strategies to reduce the misuse of drugs and alcohol through education and community outreach.

  • Substance Use Intervention: Providing support and education for youth and families who have concerns regarding their own use, or the use of loved ones.

  • Substance Use Recovery: Providing information regarding the large range of recovery supports in our region, to encourage recovery and break down stigma for those struggling with addiction.

  • Mental Health Awareness: Promoting understanding and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health challenges to encourage early intervention.

  • Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Awareness: Providing advocacy and education to prevent violence and support survivors.

  • Suicide Prevention Education: Offering training and resources to help community members recognize warning signs and provide life-saving support.

  • Family Resource Connections: Serving as a bridge between families and the essential community services they need to thrive.
