TRAINING
Quabbin Community Cares will be providing a Youth Mental Health First Aid training for school staff, community members, and others who work with youth in our area. YMHFA teaches adults the skills and knowledge to support young people (ages 12-18) experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. Training adults in our community in YMHFA is the first step towards increasing mental health supports and awareness in our community and our school for the 2026-27 school year, we are hoping to be able to use this as a foundation toward bringing Teen Mental Health First Aid training to the middle and high school students this year. tMHFA trains teens (ages 14-18, or grades 9-12) directly, equipping them with the tools to recognize, understand and respond when a friend or peer shows signs of a mental health or substance use challenge. The program helps teens connect their peers with a parent, guardian, or trusted adult who can provide support. For more information on both programs

FAMILY FUN
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great way to bring communities together to showcase the opportunities that are available in our region for children and families.
This event is intended to be a FREE family event, with activities and fun, to introduce kids and families to what hobbies, groups, fun, safety systems and varied supports are available in the Quabbin Region.
We will be providing hotdogs for families who attend, and invite local restaurants to join us in providing free taste tests.
